When working with an orchestral template in galley view, seeing bar number 1 more then 40 times is a somewhat annoying after a while. Even though it can disabled via '‘Display/Bar number/Galley View’, I would prefer it to be disabled by default.

I’m not following, what’s wrong with disabling this once in a project? It remembers your settings.
It’s not attached to the template, but per project as far as I know.
I find the bar numbers helpful sometimes, so I made a keyboard shortcut to hide/show them
I would love an option to have the bar numbers only show on the top visible staff in Galley View. I want to see the bar number, just not on every single staff.
