I would like to request support for attaching fermatas directly to grace notes.
At present, the workaround seems to be to use regular notes scaled down to grace-note size rather than actual grace notes. While this can reproduce the appearance, it is cumbersome in practice, because it requires explicit rhythmic notation through tuplets, meter adjustments, or similar workarounds.
This is particularly limiting in contemporary notation, where a small note may need to function visually like a grace note while still carrying its own fermata.
It would be very helpful if Dorico allowed fermatas to be attached directly to grace notes, or otherwise provided a dedicated small-note notation type that can carry independent attachments.
