In real-time MIDI recording for piano, Dorico automatically decides how notes are split between the right- and left-hand staves.
Please add an option to disable this automatic hand assignment and let the user define a fixed split point, or otherwise explicitly choose the destination staff.
Automatic splitting can be useful, but it should be optional. In polyphonic playing the software cannot always know the intended hand distribution, and correcting the result afterwards can be much more work than simply specifying the split before recording.
This is not a request to improve the automatic algorithm; it is a request to allow the user to turn it off.
