I use the Wavelab Audio Editor for destructive editing of audio files. One thing I noticed is that in the Montage Editor, when you change the envelope of the audio, the change is reflected in the underlying waveform. It would be a HUGE help if the Envolope Tool in the Audio Editor did the same (inside the tools preview window where the selected waveform is displayed). As it is now, I often have to apply the change and then undo and make adjustments several times.
To make things even better, a button in the Envelope Tool window that allows playing the clip with the suggested envelope would be even more helpful than a visual representation. (But I’m not sure if that is asking too much 
In the next minor update, the waveform will follow the envelope, just like in a montage clip.
