Currently, Dorico’s “Propagate Part Formatting” feature lets us copy system formatting (including manual note spacing changes) from one layout to another layout. However, there doesn’t seem to be an equivalent way to copy manual note spacing changes to a different location within the same layout.
Use case: when a phrase repeats later in the piece (e.g. a recapitulation, a repeated passage with similar rhythmic content), I often want the manual note spacing adjustments I made earlier to look identical at the later occurrence. Right now the only option is to redo the same Alt/Option+arrow adjustments by hand at each occurrence, which is time-consuming and error-prone when there are many repeats.
It would be great to have a way to select a passage with manual note spacing changes, and apply/copy those changes to another selected passage within the same layout — similar in spirit to “Paste Appearance” for graphical properties, but scoped to note spacing at matching rhythmic positions.
