On some tracks, I may have 40 lanes of audio. The automation tracks right now always appear far at the bottom. Right now, as it is, I have to drag the screen constantly while editing automation. I would like to be able to “always” see the automation no matter where the screen scrolls so that I can more easily line up the automation points with the audio. If we had the option of somehow temporarily docking a track in a fixed position on the monitor, then I could keep a track constantly visible while other tracks scroll like normal. In my case, obviously I would be temporarily docking the automation track. Then, when I’m finished with my editing, I undock & the track returns to it’s original position. This would be a helpful option for any type of track, not just automation tracks.
