Feature request: Find/delete redundant dynamics

Working on a piano reduction of a large orchestration, I am finding I’m frequently repeating the current dynamic without realising it.

It would be great to be able to select a passage and search for redundant dynamics. So if it’s mp at bar 20 and I’ve got another mp at bar 30 with no other dynamics inbetween, it will delete, or at least select, the unnecessary dynamic.

Cheers team.

Yes, but… The composer I work with puts in repeated dynamics in his new Complexity School music where dynamics are a very major aspect, to remind players of the current dynamic that holds. So it would have to be an option and not something baked in.

Of course! I guess something you could run from the jump bar - Filter Redundant Dynamics. I know there are reasons for having them (and not having them) in different contexts.

You can at least see in the Dynamics Lane of the Key Editor whether a dynamic has a gradient or a straight line on either side.

I think even more effective is: With a dynamic selected, left-arrow to select the previous one in that staff, wherever it is. Right-arrow to return.
