So I find myself working amore and more in the arrange window as opposed to the dedicated mixer window when doing minor mix adjustments (ie. small fader moves, accessing inserts/sends etc). It’s often more convenient to do this from the track inspector, especially as I have video dedicated to a second monitor over the mixer.
What I don’t understand though is the half-hearted implementation of the Listen function outside the mixer. So you can display the Listen button in the arrange window (track or track inspector) on regular audio tracks, but NOT on groups, FX tracks, Instrument tracks, or individual outputs of multi-timbral instruments tracks. Even though these are readily accessible in the mixer for each, they are unavailable in Track Controls settings for these types of tracks.
As someone who uses this function often I don’t understand this. I can only assume there is some technical limitation preventing it but this is really frustrating.
Anyone else like to see this implemented?
