Feature Request: Give the MIDI Tracks connected to External Instruments Render in Place ability

Hello,

As I explained before, Cubase External Instruments Tracks are the missing link for all of us who work, or prefer, hardware gear. Whether it’s synths or effects.

The only problem is when it’s time to render a MIDI Event content of 50>100 MIDI Tracks through an External Instrument (Track). :grimacing:

First, each must be manually dragged and dropped to the External Instrument Track. After that, the Render in Place command must be executed. And finally, each must be moved back to its original MIDI Track. Cumbersome and time-consuming.

Feature Request:

Let Cubase “sense” which MIDI Track has a routing through an External Instrument Track, (Inspector >> Output Routing >> MIDI Devices >> External Instrument), and let us fire up ‘Render in Place’ directly from a MIDI Track connected to External Instrument.

That’s it!

Please vote for this one

Thank you.

Hi,

Could you attach a screenshot of this one?

You should route it to the virtual VST Instrument plug-in, which you created while you inserting the “External Instrument” Instrument Track.

That’s the exactly what I’m doing. The problem is that unless the MIDI data (Events) are present in/placed on the External Instruments Track - the Render in Place is not applicable.
