Feature Request: Hide Staff Lines in Percussion Kits / Custom Staff Types

Feature Request: Ability to hide staff lines and create custom staff types for Percussion Kits
Hi Dorico team,
I’d like to request a feature that would allow users to hide staff lines or assign custom staff types (e.g., 0-line or 1-line staves) to individual instruments within a Percussion Kit.

Currently, this is possible for regular instruments by using the “Change Staff Type” option, but not for Percussion Kits. This limits flexibility when designing visual rhythmic materials — especially for educational or experimental purposes (e.g., rhythm notation for video overlays or minimalist rhythmic graphics).
Use case examples:

  • Creating rhythm notation with no staff lines for clean visual presentation (e.g., social media, YouTube Shorts)
  • Isolating single drum voices (snare only, bass drum only) on 1-line or 0-line staff
  • Designing rhythmic graphics for Subdivision experiments (triplets, 4s, 5s, 6s, etc.)

Being able to assign a custom staff type to each player inside a Percussion Kit — or even apply “Change Staff Type” locally — would open up a lot of creative possibilities.
Thank you for considering this!
Best regards,
drumidea

Welcome to the forum @KANG_YunSeok!

I’m not sure to understand exactly what you’re looking for, but in case it helps:
One single player can hold a percussion kit + isolated instruments. Which allows you, with instruments changes, to alternate 5-line staff with several instruments, one-line staff, zero line staff…

Here is how it looks like in galley view:

And in Setup Mode:
