why not select the area of the midi or audio part and have a check box loop On, default the loop locators to full part (maximum) and then resisable to fit needs and then in the arrange window simply drag the end in time always looping the same. No need of copies, duplications, shared copies, to make it play until we want to play something which is ment to simply loop. Major Daws do it by the way …
