It would have to hard quantize events. Maybe that’s the reason why this feature has not been implemented yet? Or maybe there is a different reason like a comletely different coding structure of a pattern event compared to a midi part.
I think this is key. The Patterns themselves don’t seem to exist as objects on the Track like MIDI Parts. Rather they are like an element of the actual Track. Try this:
Create a New Track that uses Patterns
Add a Pattern Event and enter a Pattern into it.
Delete the Pattern Event from the Track
Duplicate the Track
Create a Pattern Event on the duplicated Track
When you open this new Pattern Event it will have the original Pattern in it
Even though GA6 has the new pattern editor and MIDI can be converted to pattern, can those patterns not be transferred to a track as a pattern event? Every attempt from a GA pattern to the timeline always turns it back into MIDI. I just want to keep it fully intact as is as a pattern.
If so, let us take or keep those patterns and be able to transfer them into Cubase. I guess that is like this feature request if the limitation is that this midi can’t be truly turned into a cubase pattern.
