Please create a Multi-Instrument track similar to Presonus Studio 1, and/or Ableton’s Racks so we can easily combine and layer instruments, MidiFX, and Audio effects on a single track, and best of all save these as presets into Media Bay.
For extra credit, an internal send system would be appreciated. Logic also has a great implementation of this with their Track Stacks.
Thanks!

Hi,
You can add a MIDI Track and route it’s output up to 5 outputs (instruments) by using MIDI Sends.
Hi,
A few years have passed, nothing has changed!
Martin’s suggestion is functional, but it’s laborious to use. Unfortunately I couldn’t find anything better (in Cubase).
It might be useful for many if I explain in more detail what this is about.
I’ve created 5 duo and 6 trio instruments, which are saved (right mouse on the selected tracks of a multi instrument and Save Track Preset) to Media/User Presets/Track Presets/Multi (Multi.png).
Duo1 for example contains 3 tracks: Duo1 Synth1, Duo2 Synth2 and Duo1 Synth Control (Duo1.png).
At Duo1 Synth Control’s
Inspector/MIDI Sends I’ve activated the first two Activate Send buttons and at MIDI Send Destination set Duo1 Synth1 and Duo2 Synth2 (Sends.png).
MIDI notes must be copied to the Duo1 Synth Control track and pressing Start button, both Duo1 Synth1, Duo2 Synth2 will play.
In order to try out multiple multi instruments, MIDI notes always needs to be copied to Synth Control tracks.
Tracktion Waveform’s solution is much easier to use and is more transparent: there’s need for only one track (Wtrack.png), instruments are placed in a plugin rack (WPluginRack.png), that can be added to the track,
in order to try the next plugin rack instrument, just replace it to the same track.
I think developing a plugin rack in Cubase would be very useful as well.
I love this idea, would save loads of time. I can see why these other DAWs have it.
