If you are re-running the normalizer (trying out different settings), and you already have gain values for the clips, you only see the new actual gain value in the Clip tab.
“Gain change” only shows the change relative to the previous gain value.
Not sure what you mean with “New gain”. Because IMO, “New gain” is the same as Gain change". And as you say, the full gain is displayed in the clip list.
Well, if I have run the normalizer trying out Top of Loudness Range at 18 LUFS you get a certain Pre-gain value.
Let’s say I then want to try out Integrated at 16 LUFS instead (or any other change in the settings) and use the “Test Only” option just to see the log with new values,
In the log I now only see the Gain change, not the new actual Gain value, but I can for example see the new New Digital Peak etc.
I use The Meta Normaliser extensively to check out variuos settings, so I just think it would be good/great to also see the new actual gain value in the log instead of having to open the Clip tab and scroll to the Gain columns.
Which of course doesn’t work if you use Test Only mode,i.e. new values are not generated.
