Unless I’m missing something, Dorico only allows “bar lines on staves only” for vocal-assigned tracks. While this may be a standard limitation, I happen to like not having bar lines extend between staves of a system, at least for chamber music (with piano an exception, of course). As a Finale refugee I am THRILLED with how much better-designed a program Dorico is… but Finale let us do this. For the purpose of clarity, see attached screenshot—this is what I’d like to be able to do in Dorico for non-vocal “instruments.” (This is a screenshot from a Finale-created score.) Am I missing something? And if not, can this be added as a preference?
