Feature Request: Option to ignore markers/metadata when re-importing from External Editor

Hi SpectraLayers Team,

I am frequently using the “Edit in External Editor” function (specifically with iZotope RX) to process selected audio selections.

Currently, there is a major workflow issue with markers: when the external editor saves the temporary file, it often forces markers into the file header. Upon re-importing into SpectraLayers, this causes duplicate markers or moves existing markers to the beginning of the project timeline.

Request:
Please consider adding a checkbox in the Preferences (under “External Editor” or “Display”) like:
[ ] Ignore markers/metadata when re-importing from external editor (keep project markers unchanged)

This would prevent the destructive marker-loops and make the round-trip workflow between SpectraLayers and other spectral tools much more professional and seamless.

Thank you for considering!

This sounds like a bug. Post a video(screen-recording) demonstrating what is exactly happening so @Robin_Lobel (the main developer) will see it and address it!
