It would be amazing to have a preference somewhere to allow filtering only dynamics in a given musical selection. At the moment it grabs all of the dynamics in a given group, regardless if the notes were selected or not. Often times I am trying to grab dynamics at the end or beginning of a musical line to paste somewhere else and it becomes finicky when Dorico decides to grab the entire dynamic group instead of just the measures I chose.

If you don’t want to grab a group of dynamics, don’t have them grouped them in the first place!
yes but I want them grouped for say the horn, but I want to grab the end dynamics and add to the clarinet… its not always black and white
In that case you can select that part of the dynamic manually, copy, and then paste to the other instrument.
Example:
Horn
p < f > mp
Clarinet
pp < ff
You want to paste the end only “> mp”
Now, instead of filtering by dynamic,
you select “> mp” by holding down the ctrl/cmd key, copy and paste them to the Clarinet.
