Feature Request: Ottavo Clef Option to Omit Line and Hook on Single Notes

I would love to input an 8va on single notes without a line and hook. Gerou/Lusk Notation Encyclopedia says to omit the hook on final notes/chords. Kjos Music prefers no hook on any single note/chord. Currently, I add it as text, but it doesn’t act as a transposing element. Thanks!

When I use these settings in Engrave Options

(I changed Octave line hook length to 0, als thickness of octave line, but don’t know of the latter was needed)

Thanks, Ton! This almost works, except I can’t set line thickness to 0, since I need them for passages of notes. This workaround leaves a little dot next to the 8va:

…but of course this will affect all 8va marks, not just the ones over single notes.

Yes, those are global setings of course..

Unfortunately it seems the engraving properties doesn’t have control over individual lines, hooks can be set to 0 though for an individual 8va

Meanwhile, if playback matters, you could create a playing technique (and a playback technique) “8va”, and set your expression map so that it transposes by one octave:
