As @dspreadbury might remember, I was hoping for an augmentation of space contour emphasis to control cc data in longer notes. For now I use the existing possibilities for expression maps.
I wish, I was able to have at least one more cc lane to work along with expression. In some libraries you can control vibrato. In some even bow pressure. I find it musical in most cases to increase vibrato intensity with higher expression. So I set cc for vibrato to the same cc as expression. But the articulation “no vibrato” is not possible then.
Even better would be to set an fixed ASDR to any note (relative to overal expression) per articulation.
Ok. I’m not a native speaker so I might be not as clear as I wanted. Of course I know all of what you said and use it a lot. But the more things can be automated the less work I have to do afterwards. The existing possibilities speed up my workflow a lot.
This part I deleted, because apparently I misunderstood something.
Janus’s reply is completely neutral and does not make any value judgement about the nature of your request or the value of playback features in Dorico, so I think perhaps you’ve inferred something that really isn’t there.
Regarding your request to make it possible for Dorico to control additional dimensions of expression during playback, we have many ideas along these lines that we will work on in future versions, but I can’t make any specific commitments to when this will be.
