I love the jump bar aliases and something similar for the popovers would be awesome. You could make Bass clef bs and Treble tb and alto at etc. you could even add them to your go to playing techniques. Anyone else agree?
I use the Clefs popover and type one of:
G for treble clef
F for bass clef
C3 for alto clef
C4 for tenor clef
It takes 3 key-presses for bass and treble, and 4 for alto and tenor. That includes opening the popover (shift-C) and pressing Enter to confirm the choice made.

yes but that doesn’t mean the efficiency of aliases couldn’t be used for other things no? It obviously not a deal breaker just thought that it would be a neat perk in the future

There is an essential difference between “shortcuts” and popover syntax.
But for your idea, you could record scripts of inserting clefs and trigger those from the Jump Bar.
