Feature request: Prevent bar line alignment

A lovely addition to Dorico’s page-drawing algorithm would be a feature whereby, if the music is repetitive, it prevents bar-lines on each staff from lining up with their neighbours. From Behind Bars:

I’m coming across this a lot at the moment and I’m using system breaks and note spacing changes to overcome it.

Dorico does this automatically. It’s actually harder to get it to evenly space bars so that the barlines are in alignment (common practice in jazz/commercial engraving, where 4-bar systems are the default) without doing it manually.

Most of the time, yes, but not if the material is very repetitive - then, the barlines all line up.

It’s Lilypond that does this automatically, even for systems with identical content.

No provision for this in Dorico as yet. But how often is it needed?

It would be nice to see an example how Dorico handles this.

I don’t know in general, but I need it quite often!
