In the track inspector for a midi track there is a dropdown menu that allows you to view the audio channel for the VST instrument you are triggering. From here you can adjust many parameters such as sends, inserts, EQ, Volume etc., and this is very handy because it alows you do play the midi instrument while adjusting these parameters.
The glaring omission is the quick controls menu. The only way to access the quick controls menu is to leave the midi track and find the audio channel manually. The reason this annoys me is I would like to adjust the send level with my quick control rather than use the mouse, allowing me to play the instrument at the same time I dial in the amount of reverb.
