Feature Request: Splittable Lower Zone

For me, the Lower Zone is the central working area in Cubase. Unfortunately, especially on ultrawide monitors, a single lower zone usually leaves a lot of blank area and therefore is a waste of screen space.

How about being able to optionally split the Lower Zone? Each zone could be configured to open specific editors. For example, the key or pattern editor could always open in the left Lower Zone, the mixer in the right.

This would be particularly helpful for the many new Lower Zone elements (pattern editor, modulators, etc.), helping to keep the screen layout clear and reducing the need to switch between overlapping windows…

I think this is a good idea.
It could work somehow like Adobe Premiere with moveable areas perhaps. Then saved in Workspaces.
I am all for user customisation, especially we all work differently and we all want to make Cubase work for us.
I’d add I would really like to be able to customise the UI by being able to add buttons to execute functions or macros on the screen in empty areas.

Personally I’d like the lower zone to be blocked and everything to open in it’s own window…multiple monitors have their uses :slight_smile:
