When working with a piece today I had dissonance between two different instruments repeating bars. I had to resort to deleting the repeat bars and pasting in the actual notes to compare. Having some way to temporarily swap the repeat region symbol with what is being played there would be useful not only for finding dissonances, but also double checking if the repeat is as expected.
There’s a long-standing feature request to be able to (among other things) show bar repeats on a per-layout basis, and this use case would fit into that quite nicely. (Be sure to check out the linked threads below that post for all the variant FRs, too!) We can only assume it’s somewhere on the mythical to-do list.
