Very often I find myself waiting far too long for my computer to finish unmix tasks, be it stems or components.
Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to mark a selection, with the time range selection tool e.g., and then unmix only that area into new layers?
Yes it would.

You can alternatively press Shift+Ctrl+X (Cut to New Layer) before applying unmix tasks.
Unmixing only a certain time range would have to go through that anyway, as unmix operations replace an existing layer by a group composed of unmixed layers.
