I love that the lower zone now shows all my inserts and group channels just like in the separate mixer window. Finally I can run Cubendo just maximized and will not have to deal with separate windows anymore
Here’s an issue I noticed though:
Activating the lower zone moves my transport bar, which I had conveniently placed in the middle for easier access, to the bottom where it is harder to reach.
Feature Request #1:
Please make the Transport bar movable on top of the lower zone!
I then started to just try using the floating transport bar and since it had a different configuration than the transport bar I have now at the bottom, I thought I’d just save a transport bar preset (yes, the transport bar has presets, I was as surprised as you are) and then just load it into the floating transport bar.
This did not work. My saved transport-bar presets do not show up in the other two transport bars. I suppose all of the 3 different transport bars (top, floating, mid/bottom) have their own individual presets! Why is that?
Feature Request #2:
Please make Transport bar presets globally accessible!
Another thing I noticed was that my control room controls and the meter are now moved to the right. I found the collumn in the separate mixer window really handy as it was directly accessible and didn’t have to share tabs with the browser. Also now there is a gaping dead space in the bottom right corner.
Feature Request #3:
Please add a sidebar to the lower zone!
What do you think about the improved lower zone mixer?
Cheers,
Robert
update
I had to revert back to my multi-window layout as the floating transport bar was obscuring the piano roll view. guess I’ll have to wait if any of this becomes a little more customizeable.
