Feature Requests

Hi fkalmus

Thanks for your feedback. Indeed everything can be done with Davinci which I am familar with. My point was just a convinience topic and saving work.

@VST development team

Thanks a lot for beeing in contact with the user group and considering feature requests.
Looking forward on the update and will check out.

Hola y Feliz Navidad.
Saludos!

pls use translator and keep it English, thanks.
You can use multiple Layers, and also use the same instrument with „Shared“ instruments.

  5. All MIDI Inputs.

These buttons start and stop audio recording the main audio output.

Retrospective recording is on our list.

working on that too.

Pls use translator so not everybody else has to, thanks!

Many thanks!

Have you checked out Melda Productions Metronome VST plugin? Very configurable and far better than DAW click tracks - I use it all the time as it’s easier to automate silent portions during “spaces” when recording acoustic instruments, so the headphone bleed doesn’t get recorded. I haven’t yet added it to VSTL but I’m planning on using it, lots of different sounds and very adaptable to different users needs.
Oh and it’s FREE!

Once again the request for changing the background colour and font color in the lyrics. Black background option would be great to reduce the reflection from the TVs. And being able to select a lyric and give it it’s own color would help in using color coding for backing vocals etc.

Possibility to select several tracks to edit them simultaneously (color, output, input)
The same in the Mixer view.
Tempo change for audio
When I click in the mixer view somewhere in the fader, the volume changes immediately. Should not happen in my opinion, especially because there seems to be no UNDO function in the mixer.
Undo Function for the mixer please.

Proposal: I use vstlive to play live with my synths and a keyboard with an integrated audio interface, which only has one stereo output. Could it be done so that the program uses one output and the metronome another?

being able to use two sound cards or the one that comes with the PC with the headphone jack.

@rafalacu AFAIK that is currently impossible (and mostly because how WINDOWS is designed to handle audio interfaces)

Yeah but
.
If on a Mac you can define an aggregate device in audio settings that is a combination of hardware devices.
On Windows you can use something like VB Matrix that does the same.
VL will see it as one device.

First time I see this VB Matrix, very interesting!! How it works latency wise ?

I don’t actually know - I only used the audio cable sw to get VLC media player to push intermission music through VL so that’s no test for latency.
Also used their VBAN audio over network to drive the sound to light in FreeStyler before I went to DMX and that worked well.
You can download a free/demo version of their offerings so can try before you buy.

@musicullum is it possible to add a speed of reproduction for video events on the top bar ? (where clip duration, fade in fade out offset etc are located)?

Or in video track inspector

Use case: i have songs with videos synced but for some songs we play them at slightly more bpm than original, and when i put the videclip it’s slower so usually i cut and realign the video track every few seconds to have it somehow synced with our play
because i don’t want to process in external software to make a sped up version
having a adjjustable parameter (like saturation, brightness, delay etc that we currently have in inspector) would be wonderful. Like play the clip @ 1.05x or 0.95x etc

Cheers, Ciro.

Heh, I know, I know

But seems VL won’t see C14’s drummer track content regardless it is “converted” to midi clips within the Drummer track. Tested with

  • DAWproject
  • Media Project

Talking about this kind of object. Maybe in the future if solution exists for

@fkalmus maybe wrong thread?

:face_savoring_food:

Basically wanted to post here, yes, but not 100% sure, but as @Spork is credited in C14, probably will have answer or some thoughts about
the question if VL can be coded (pimped) to see/import the content of drummer track’s events (at least as above when clip is converted to “MIDI events”. But maybe C14 needs to be adjusted to prepare content to one of the archive types above (Media Project or DAWproject)
 ?

Basically yes, but it would require that the events follow speed change
or maybe not?
