Come on, man. This is simply about having a bit more flexibility as a feature request. What exactly is your problem with that? It also has absolutely nothing to do with whether a song is finished or not.
So yes, I’m sticking with my feature request.
And while we’re at it, I’d also like to be able to select multiple tracks at once and route them, change their color, adjust their volume, or move them together.
@Riccardo_Schult-Nowo Probably I have to unbitch … I like the Feature Request to have the ability to change speed in VST Live even with audio files. Sorry if that came across wrong and rereading it absolutely can. My reply was regarding a certain complaining that sometimes happens in this forum with generalized arguments such as “I don’t want VST Live to be a DAW as long as it has all features as every DAW has … and it has to be absolutely stable.”
Timestretch is a major task in terms of development, and some. But it’s on our list.
As requested ever so often, we are open to criticizing and suggestions, but please avoid generalized claims like these. Name “basic things”, or don’t mention it at all, it may mislead people who are considering to buy the product and try to get a picture by browsing the forum (good idea). For the sake of balancing, see here.
Finally, if the “things” you mention are related to the Tracks view, pls keep in mind that apps like VST Live usually feature no more than a basic backing track player - and usually don’t support the entire set of media like audio, MIDI, video, DMX, Lyrics, and Chords. You don’t find many that support as many DAW like features as VST Live offers. There are those more sample based, which feature timestretch, and that may be a better choice for you if that fits your main direction. VST Live also features quantized switching of timeline positions (FlexLoops, rarely found in linear timeline systems) and as said, we are working on timestretch as well.
I’m aware that there is a dedicated metronome/count feature. But it would be great if there was an always visible led which would always blink at the set tempo, even when play was off, despite the screen/mode you are on. There are songs in which we don’t use a metronome and seeing that led would help me play the keyboard intro in the correct tempo, instead of slowing or rushing the song. The Korg Kronos tempo led does this and it helped me many times.
