John Barron suggested I post this here. Right now you can set instruments to always show the transposition in the instrument definitions, and you can set Staff Labels to always show that before the instrument name (or after, but before is where the issue arises). But currently there’s no way to have the part layout name default to showing transposition (think Bb Tenor Sax) or to default to putting the transposition before the instrument (“Bb Clarinet” instead of “Clarinet (Bb)”). In order to change “Clarinet (Bb)” to “Bb Clarinet" I have to do it manually in every project (at least every project not created from a template where I’ve already changed it). Similarly, even though a score can be set to show “Bb Tenor Saxophone" by default, the part layout only says “Tenor Saxophone”, with no transposition at all. My feature request is to be able to control how the default Layout Names are generated, or at least have an option to update them all at once to match the staff labels in the score.
You can use a different token in the page template for the part layouts. Try using e.g. {@staffLabelsFull@}.

Yes, that fixes it on the layout, but not the actual Layout Name, which is used for pdf and audio exports, etc.
Yes, that’s true, of course.
