feature suggestion: Microsoft word style selection

feature suggestion: Microsoft word style selection
Dear users and developers,

Microsoft Word provides a selection feature by cmd+shift.
Dorico does not have this feature.
Am I right?

If cmd+shift is supported, selecting items from bar 58 to 61 on Violin I and Viola would be much easier as follows.

step 1. nothing selected

step 2. selecting the first note of bar 58 on violin I staff and viola staff (cmd/ctrl + click)

step 3. selecting the last note of bar 61 on violin I staff and viola staff (cmd + shift + click)

At present,

  • I should select individual bars using cmd + click or
  • I should select all items in the range, then deselect individual bars using cmd + click.

I presume you’re looking for an easy way to select two staves without selecting the one in between? You can select the Violin notes and then hold down Command and drag-select the Viola notes.

The trouble with copying methods from Word is that music is much more complex than lines of text.

Thanks for your suggestion.
In the previous example, I minimised the selection range.
Your suggestion works of course.
However, it is not so helpful if I should select the items on staff 1 and staff 3 across pages (e.g.: from bar 100 to bar 200).
