Dear Dorico-Team,
I am trying to copy the rhythm from tamburin to the piano. Thats not working, instead i hear a single note from the alto flute. why? (see foto)
thx.
Can you please upload a cut-down version of your project - just enough to reproduce the problem.
Der ploĢtzliche Spaziergang.dorico (1.7 MB)
I donāt know right now if copying from an unpitched percussion instrument to a pitched instrument is meant to work at allā¦
why shouldnt that be meant to work, its a rhythmic phrase i would like to copy, and now i have to rewrite the rhythm ā¦ a pro Program should offer those āunusualā function. especially if writing contemporary music.
Whatās happening is that Dorico is pasting the notes into the Treble staff of the Piano (Iām not sure why). Because you have removed that staff, it is not visible. If you try pasting material into the current (Bass) staff and then remove your -1 Staff Signpost at bar one, you will see the notes there.
thx, but thats a Bug and should be resolved by Dorcio please. it totally stops the workflow
A bug is when something that isnāt intended happens. It may be a bug but it seems as more of an inconvenience (though just as annoying).
ā¦as i said, there is also a single note from the alto flute.
anyway: I am trying to give constructive feedback to the team to improve the program
I canāt reproduce this, sorry; it plays back as it should.
Have you tried reapplying your Playback Template via Play > Playback Template?
I am using a focusrite interface.
If copy pasting any bar to any bar, i am hearing a single alto flute note for a sec
It shouldnāt be anything to do with your interface.
Have you tried resetting your Playback Template?
how can i do that?
yes i did that already, also closed and reopened the program, its the same
In your dialog, do you see the list of templates that I have just attached? And, is it just this project where your playback is not working as it should?
can you hear the sound?
Yes.
What key command are you using to trigger the sound? Or are you just clicking on the staves?
Normally, when playing back you will see the green playhead moving as the music progresses. Is there any chance that it is just playing back from the beginning each time? The pitch of the flute sound matches the very first note of the flow (G-flat in the Alto Flute staff).
i am only copy pasting with my keyboard: command+c // command+v
thats all
