Hi. I think I hit a wall here.
As I could see on the forum, I don’t see a way to include time signatures with parentheses and the fermata issue…

Any ideas?
I see two possible workarounds here:
Thanks. I think the first workaround will do the fermata issue.
Nothing about the time signature?
You could use local time signatures for just the Solo Cello and “open” time signature for everyone else?
That is, first create the open bar, then create the local TS in the SoloCello using Alt/Option-Enter in the popover.
Yes, I did that but there is no way to insert the parentheses.
I had to try it myself to realise that adding parentheses only hides the TS.
I really thought this was possible.
Of course, you can create text objects or playing techniques shaped as parentheses and then move things in place in Engrave Mode, but I believe you were looking for a native approach.
but I believe you were looking for a native approach.
Yeap! It would be something that would benefit many.
Hi @Toto23, for an alternative approach, see this post:
@Toto23
I made a short video with the workflow (in case it could be helpful for someone):
Yes, that’s what MicheleGalvagno suggested when using text objects or playing techniques.
I’ll try it.
EDIT: Thanks for the video. MusGlyphs is not installed by default, is it? Does it have to be purchased separately?
Yes, it’s a font you can download for free at Notation Central.
… however there is a suggested price (or more) for the font. You will find it mentioned in various threads here as being useful to many of us.
@dan_kreider himself created the font, which would have taken many hours.
You might like to purchase it if you find it works for you.
