Downloaded, installed, activated, etc…
I don’t see it as an instrument, or VST Instrument Set, Media> Loops & Samples, or anything anywhere.
Shows as installed and activated.
I’m guessing I’m missing something basic here.

BEWARE: I purchased Medieval Phrases Fiddle & Nyckelharpa. Used the activation code and the Library now shows I have a brand new instance of Medieval Phrases Lute & Theorbo activated.
Off to customer service on this one.
This is a sound&patch library for Halion (Sonic). If you have Cubase you should also have Halion Sonic installed. Search for the libraries in there.
The installation was done without problem. But I miss the sounds of trills and turns. Plus, it bugs.
The medieval lute & theorbo is pretty awesome tho
Update: It’s installed and activated, but I cant find it anywhere except in Media Bay. It does not show up as an instrument, or as Instrument Set in HALion, or under Loops & Samples.
The only place I can find evidence of its installation is from Media Bay, if I select and Right Click “create track”, nothing happens. Also if I just try to click and drag onto my workspace to create a track, that doesn’t work either.
Within HALion, if I browse for the samples, it finds nothing. Am I off track thinking this is just another sample set for HALion? It doesn’t show anywhere as an instrument.
I’ve tried a reinstall, no help.
If it does not show up as a library in Halion (Sonic) you should open a support ticket asking for assistance.
BTW - there is a small program called “Steinberg Library Manager”. If you run it, can you see the library there under the Halion tab?
It’s there.
I would expect it to show up in HALion>Load/REC as below:
Yep, as per my understanding this is where it should show up. As I said, I would contact the official Steinberg support by means of a support ticket. You can link to this topic so that they already see what was discussed and have your screenshots.
SOLUTION (CAUSE): In the Steinberg Library Manager>(Gear icon)>Library Default Location: My location is “I:/VST-Steinberg/GrooveAgent5”
So the library got loaded into a location that Cubase couldn’t quite deal with.
P.S. I have no idea how that location got set, and I don’t know what it should be by default.
Unfortunately I still have problems. The only way I can use the library is to find it in Media Bay, then dray the file onto the track column, and it will create an instance of HALion with Medieval Phrases.
If I open an instance of HALion in the normal ways, the sound library still is not present.
UPDATE: It shows up in HALion Sonic (which I never use), but not in HALion. This makes no sense to me.
CAUSE: This sound library is NOT compatible with HALion 6 . Must be 7 or newer.
UPDATE: Installed HALION 7 and now most of the Libraries dont work, All the presets show the red “NO” symbol. Grrr!
And now you can take a look at the half a dozend “my content is not showing” threads. ← cynism, but true
