Is there a way to input an omit 3 in the figured bass popover?
The composer wrote a slashed circle with a 3 next to it, meaning ‘omit 3’, or empty fifth. Is this possible?
I may be wrong, but a 5 on its own implies no 3rd. (as a 3 on its own implies 53).
I think that 5 implies the third (as no numbers). Explicit notation of an omitted third requires a -3 or a slashed 3 or a text like no3.
