I’m trying to input a sharp under a basso continuo note. The piece is in A minor, but the chord is in the parallel major (A major), so I want to put a sharp sign under the A in the bass. However, Dorico keeps adding a sharp 5 as well. How can I just get a sharp sign? Thanks!

Hi @markelliotbergman, if you just write # into the popover, Dorico should interpret it as a #3, (and after confirming the popover with Enter, if you open it again, you see that Dorico completes the remaining part of the popover as following):
