Figured Bass with 2 Staves

Hey,
cause I can’t dive too much into Theorbo writing (deadline), I try to offer the player a 2 stave system so that he knows what I mean and can write/make his on Tabs.
I’m using 1 staff in bass-clef 8basso, the other one is normal bass clef.
When I have a rest in the lower staff, I can’t write a figured bass for the upper staff.
Is there any chance that this is possible? Of course I could use normal Nepomuk Text, but this gets difficult with augemnted 6th or stuff like this…

I would like to have this:

But with rests in the lower staff:

The only solution is probably to create 2 single staff instruments?

There is a “Show Figured Bass” Property on rests.

If these staves are separate instruments, then you should be able to show FB on each/both of them; but you can’t show FB on the upper staff of a keyboard instrument.

I have made a text font, which you can use as Lyrics, to create bass figures in places that Dorico can’t yet. Read the first post, but scroll down for the latest version.

Ben I don’t understand…sometimes I see the option “show figured bass” , sometimes not ???

Don’t know. Possibly make sure that figure is exactly on the beat?

I did that - strange…

Can you share the project?

I know what the problem was…I also have a harpsichord in the project and I absolutely have to enter the figured bass in the harpsichord, to be able to see it in my theorbo…now I can see the option…thanx for everything
