Is there a separate volume audition slider for files that auto play through the filebrowser tab?
Since there is a button to play through the Master Section or not, you have your solution.
Moreover, when OFF (skipping the effect section), the playback still goes through the Master Section’s Playback processing. Hence you could have a gain stage there too.
