File opened twice

Clicking File A opens both File A in page view and File A-2 in gallery view.

Two will open.

How can I resolve this issue?

What’s happening if you close one of the two windows, save the file, close your project and reopen it?

It opens in two files.

Strange, it works here.

And if you change something else before saving (i.e. you close the 2nd window, change anything in the music, save, close, reopen)?

Two are open again. It seems there’s a problem with a specific file.

Could it be two tabs of the same file?

Instead of tabs, two files open.

Restart your computer, perhaps.

I had a similar problem when I was trying to enter a time signature tempo. I accidentally typed some other key combination including a T (I think).

I think I fixed it by going to the “Window” menu and scrolling way down to “Merge all windows”, then saving, exiting, and starting over (?).

Yes, Ctrl(Cmd)+T opens a new tab, Ctrl(Cmd)+Shift+T opens a new window.

If you have two windows opening for a given project, close one of the windows, then save the project with Ctrl+S/Command-S, and you should find that when you next close and reopen the project, only a single window opens.
