A file I was working on yesterday was 11.1MB; after saving following today’s update, it is now 19.9MB. I have been working on the project all morning but have made no changes to the VSTs or playback template. I wonder what might account for the near doubling in file size?
Thank you to the dev team for another stellar update, with new functionality and many bug fixes - greatly appreciated
When a project gets larger, it will be due to a combination of the audio engine data and/or the embedded PDF project preview. It won’t be anything to do with the changes in Dorico 6.2.10 specifically.
Many thanks for confirming, Daniel - much appreciated.
Is there a way to clear the embedded PDF project preview to help reduce file size? I have hourly backups, and the file size was fairly consistent at around 11MB until today. I have been working on layouts, so I wonder whether, in doing so, Dorico has automatically generated or preserved additional PDF previews. I have made no changes to the VSTs used in the project.
