I have just installed Cubase Elements 14.
In the Media bay window are the audio files I installed from Steinberg assistant from when I first installed the software. My problem is, when I click on them they don’t play also the preview window at the bottom of the Media window doesn’t show. Also if I drag an audio file into the main project window they don’t load and I get no explanation why.
Hi,
Open Studio > Audio Connections > Outputs. Right-click on the output bus and enable the Main Mix. The MediaBay’s Preview is routed thru this Main Mix bus, if Control Room is not involved.
There’s nothing there that says main mix, only Mono Stereo
Also a menu called 'set up Tabs input and output box’s are ticked
Hi,
Right-click to the existing bus (probably named Stereo Out) in the window.
Hi Martin
Thank you for your help it’s very much depreciated. I’m in studio/ audio connections/ I’m on the output page/ first tab Bus Name says Stereo 1 out/ left Right/ if I click on Stereo 1 the box is ticked and it says , Set “stereo 1” as main mix
2nd tab Speakers/ Stereo
3rd Tab/ Audio Device M-Audio Delta ASIO
4th Tab/Device Port/Analog out 1/2 L Delta-AP/ Analog out 1/2 R Delta-AP/
Above all those tabs are/ Add Bus/ Presets/No Preset/.Expand all/ Collapse All/ if I right click these they are all set too, " Set “stereo 1” as main mix
Still not working,
Also this being new to me I have been trying to use the chord pad, I thought they would just produce a sound when pressed but there is no sound coming from them either, could all this be a driver problem?
Michael
Hi,
This seems to be the correct setting.
Do you hear any other Preview?
It records and plays back audio from my microphone,in the project window/ also plays back my VST instrument I have uploaded into Cubebase, Also the chord pads work now when I play them and they recird and play back.
But still no lower window in the media bay,no sound from audio samples and it won’t let me drag and drop the audio into the project.window

Hi,
What about, if you click to a MIDI Note, routed to an instrument? Or VariAudio preview?
Isn’t the Volume slider of the Preview down?
I don’t know what you mean by that
