Files Opening in wrong version

Hi,

I have some old projects created in Cubase 9.5. When opening them in file manager, they are opening 9.5 instead of Cubase Pro 11, Even if I am using “open with” and select Cubase 11.

Another thing is that the Cubase Icon for CPR-files has turned into a generic icon .

I am using Windows 10 and Cubase Pro 11 (but have the old version of Cubase on my disk)

Even when I choose “Open with Cubase 11”, the project still opens in 10. I have changed the setting to “always open with Cubase 11”, but no joy. Weirdly, CPR files are no longer shown with the Cubase icon either. I didn’t have this issue with Cubase 11.0. Has this affected anyone else?

Thanks, amoon56. I just uninstalled Cubase Pro 9.5 and confirmed that doing that both brings back the File Explorer icon and lets double-clicking on a .CPR file bring up Cubase 11. The issue definitely started for me after the 11.0.10 update.

I could fix it by using FiletypesMan. A little utility to repair broken program assignments.
No uninstall of any cubase version needed
