I selected this bar:
Then I went to Filter | Notes in Chords, and selected Bottom Note or Single Note.
This is what I got:
I use this command frequently and have been using it in this piece.
Do you know why Dorico did this?

Those aren’t chords—they’re notes in different voices. Try filtering on voices and then all downstem voices.
Thank you. Great explanation (although I don’t know how Dorico chose to make those selections.) i will follow your great advice.
When it worked tje first time, it was before I changed voices and stem directions for clarity.
Perhaps the first rests are in the downstem voice?
