Hi,
today I’ve stumbled upon some peculiar behaviour of “Filter Notes by Pitch…”.
The video is pretty self-explanatory, but I might add that I’ve tried few different variants of selecting/deselecting notes and it sometimes work like a charm, but it seems to act funny with b flat and g pitches.
I also might be doing something fundamentally wrong, so I’d be glad if someone could point out what it is.
All best,
js
I’m afraid you are indeed misunderstanding how the dialog works: all the pitches listed will be filtered, not only the one (or ones) you select in the list. The list includes G in octave 4, so Dorico duly selects it.
People have in the past requested the ability to create and recall presets for this dialog, which would be a good improvement, and is something we plan to implement in future.

Oh, I see. So you have to clear and do lists after a while to select pitches you need?
I can’t wait for an updated version!
