Let’s say I’ve realised a specific paragraph style I’ve created to handle a specific situation in the score is a bit too big, but I also have another paragraph style that would be perfect for this now.
I’m aware of the Edit > Notations > Text > Change Paragraph Style feature, but how can we filter all text objects belonging to a specific paragraph or font style?
Not exactly filter but… have you tried with “select more”?
From the Dorico 5 version history (page 101)
Select More. A new special behavior has been added to Edit
Select More: if you select a
single staff- or system-attached text item and invoke Select More, Dorico will select
only other text items that use the same paragraph style.

I tried, but since this is a multi flow, multi instrument, quite long score, I couldn’t be sure it had caught all of them.
In the end I duplicated the paragraph style to save its settings for other uses, then changed the original one to be smaller. Not too bad.
Thanks for suggesting the nicer approach!
