Filtering incoming midi channels

Hello,

I have a midi keyboard which can split the keyboard eg low to channel 2 and high to channel 3. This works as I can confirm if I record the midi.

I want however channel 2 to go to one track/VST and the other to go to another track/VST. Using the Input transformer however, which I’ve seen is the best method, to filter all but midi channel 2 on one track doesn’t work. It still allows everything through.

What step am I missing?

Which steps have you taken? I´m quite certain, the input transformer does work.

I did not notice each module had an on/off button. That was the step I missed.
