Final barline of piece/flow is not automatically showing

I tried all of the options I could find in the various help screens. I can’t get the final barline to appear at the end of the last bar. I’ve tried setup, layout, shift-B (which puts the final barline at the front of the last bar), etc., notation options, etc.. There must be an easy answer, but I can’t find it. Thanks for your help.

Just double-checking: You’ve looked at Notation Options > Barlines > Automatic barline at end of flow?

Yes, I have.

Actually, the “apply” button doesn’t light up or respond when pressed.

That button will only be enabled if you change something in the dialog.

Can you upload your project so someone can take a look?

Aaron, Here’s the file. I really appreciate your help. Walt Birkedahl

I don’t think the upload is working. I’m not very good at this sort of thing. Any suggestions?

Walt

I’m going to try again.

The first upload worked OK.

I found this easier in Galley View, but it can be done in Page View.

Select the final (single) barline and press Delete. It should add an empty bar.
Click in that bar, press shift-B and type -1 then press Enter.
That extra bar should disappear.

Another way is to select the 3/4 time signature at the start, press Delete, then select the first note (left or right hand, it doesn’t matter) and re-enter the 3/4 time signature.

Beautiful! It worked. I’m incredibly grateful to you.
