Finale 27 xml function not working

Hi everyone,

anyone else having this problem?

I upgraded to Finale 27 on my MacMini late 2012, running OS Mojave ONLY to export xml files to import in Dorico but I couldn’t find a way to do it, as the export xml function didn’t respond, and I had to export a midifile that’s not the same…

What exactly happened – nothing? You clicked on File > Export > MusicXML? No file dialog appeared?

Hi @benwiggy, this is exactly what happened: nothing… Any window or message… :roll_eyes:

I tried to tweak some xml export pref but nothing changed and the same was if I tried “export xml folder”.

I guess it could be that Mojave is too old for Finale to work but I have no certainty about it…

Mojave is listed on the System Requirements page, so it should work.

I suppose you’ve rebooted and tried again?

Hi @benwiggy,

you’re right! I was a bit in a hurry and I disn’t absolutely think to reboot, that was the obvious thing to do…

Now it’seems to work; thanks again for supporting me!
