The problem I have when using the ‘Finale Jazz’ font (which I prefer) is that certain characters appear very small compared to other characters or symbols—where can I change or adjust them to a reasonable size?

for the flats, change the font size of Chord Symbols Music Text Font in Font Styles,

for the superscript components, change the scale factor in Engraving options:
- Then I would do a Kerning Pair correction to put the b5 nearer to the left parentheses.

Is it possible to ‘lock’ those into permanent memory… for use with the Finale Jazz Font in the future as well?
You can save the changes in your customised font as default for all future projects, clicking on the Star Icon on the bottom left of the Font Styles dialogue.
You can save your Engraving Options as default clicking on the Save as Default button on the bottom left of Engraving Options dialogue.
