Is it possible (I assume it is) to put fingering in parenteses? Sorry, it may be very obvious, but stuck for an hour now:(
In the fingering popover, enter the fingering enclosed in square brackets. For example, [4]. The style of bracket displayed can be selected in Engraving Options > Fingering > Alternative, Editorial, and Cautionary > Enclosure for editorial fingerings.
