Fingering next to note disappears

If I place a fingering ‘Next to note’ it disappears.

Here’s a video and a part of the file.

It looks like there’s a conflict between the p and the 0. I don’t know whether this is expected, but the behavior looks odd to me.

I don’t think you can have both left and right fingering at the same place.
(Doubtless guitarists will advise)

I think the problem is that you are indicating the open strings by using fingerings; if you use the String Indicators, both the “P” and the “o” appear on the left side. As was suggested, you can’t have both right and left fingerings in the same place. Remove the “o” from Fingering, assign it to the String Indicator and you should be good to go.

Using 0 for open strings is standard, so that shouldn’t be a problem.

However, if it’s like you describe it, I should be able to use the ‘below’ option and move the P closer in Engrave mode. Alternately put it ‘above’ and drag it down. (Personally I want the right hand thumb indicator to be placed below.)

I’ll check it up later.

You can…

Yes, if you use the String Indicator for the open string, then the placement options for the fingerings will all work.
